Description

HIGHTEC ATF 9005 is a high-performance Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) with reduced viscosity based on a special base oil composition made of HC synthetic oils and fully synthetic poly
alpha-olefins (PAO). Developed specifically for maximum fuel efficiency in Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic transmissions (NAG-2).

Application

HIGHTEC ATF 9005 has been adapted to the special requirements for Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic transmissions (NAG-2, model 722.9 as of 21.06.2010). Its optimised friction system
ensures smooth shifting operations, even when the vehicle is driven at full power, and is maintained over the entire service interval. The reduced viscosity and the optimised viscosity-temperature behaviour enable a significant reduction in consumption and CO2 emissions. HIGHTEC ATF 9005 is not backward compatible with the former ATF specifications.

Notes

HIGHTEC ATF 9005 is not suitable for use in DCT/DSG (dual clutch) or CVT (continuously variable or ‘non-stepped’ automatic) drives.
